What is the proper harness strap positioning for my child in a rear-facing installation?

Answer

When installing rear-facing car seats, the harness straps MUST be at or slightly below child's shoulders. If the lowest shoulder harness slots are above the child’s shoulders, do not use the child restraint until your little one grows into it.

Note:  Many Safety 1st models feature an infant positioning insert that should be used to properly position smaller babies (please see instruction manual for model-specific use and requirements of these positioning inserts)
